  • ACT Workshop by Andrea Clark: It will cover all subjects and test taking skills and will be every Tuesday beginning February 21 through April 10 (excluding March 13) 5:00-7:00 PM in Room B113. The cost is $200. Sign up in the counselors' office by Feb. 20.

  • ATTENTION sophomores, juniors, and seniors: Attend William Carey University's Healthcare Symposium Saturday, March 3, and learn about the various healthcare careers and programs of study at WCU. Click here for more information.

  • ACT Review class with Dr. Acosta on Mondays beginning March 5 through April 19 5:30-8:30. The cost is $140. Sign up with Mr. McNelis in the counselors' office by March 2.

  • AP Exam Registration will be March 1st and March 2nd from 8:00-11:00 am at OGHS in the counselors' office. Exams are $87 each, payable in cash or money order.   • ATTENTION 9TH-12TH GRADERS: The Hattiesburg Optimist Noonday Club is excited to offer a wonderful opportunity in the Optisimist International Essay Contest. This year the topic if "How My Positive Outlook Benefits My Community." The essay must be 700-800 words. They will be judged locally and winning essay will be submitted to the District level for an opportunity to win a $2,500 college scholarship and a plaque. All students who participate locally will be presented with a certificate and a medallion, and the first, second, and third winners will also receive additional gifts during the Annual Essay Dinner and Awards Night. Participants must have the application and essay submitted to Jennifer Ducksworth by Wednesday, February 22nd, 2012.

  • Great Opportunity for Juniors and Seniors - The Citizens Bank is helping students who diligently work hard to earn top grades with their Reward A's Scholarship program. It is for juniors and seniors, each "A" earned on a report card gives them one chance to win one of ten Reward A's Scholarships. The more "A's" a student earns during the school year, the great the chance to win. Each of the ten Rewards A's Scholarships is worth $1,000. The schools attended by the recipients will be awarded $500. Students bring in their report card to the Hattiesburg branch located at 6222 Hwy 98 and fill out a registration form for each "A" on the report card. Scholarship winners are determined by a random drawing of names.

  • BIRTHDAY MESSAGES ON SCHOOL MARQUEE: Money must be paid in advance in order to have your student's birthday placed on the marquee. $15.00 cash must be brough to Mrs. Robertson in the Counselors' Office. Turn money in the day BEFORE the birthday so it can be programmed to be on sign prior to start of school so everyone can see it on their way on campus. If the birthday falls on the weekend and you want it on Friday, bring money in on Thursday. If the birthday is on a Monday, bring money in on Friday.
